Four reasons why the serial port causes the MCU to crash
1. The quality of the USB-to-serial cable is not good, or the driver is not good, or the device does not work properly on the win7 64-bit machine.
2. If you use the PL-2303HX series USB-to-serial cable, after opening the serial port on the computer, unplug the USB cable, and the computer will crash, and plugging in the USB cable will not help. Only shutdown and restart. The correct way is to only close the serial port and then pull out the USB cable.
3. If the breadboard takes power from USB, it is recommended not to exceed 450mA current, otherwise it will cause the computer to crash and restart
4. If it is a STC series microcontroller, it is recommended to use FT232. The USB-to-serial cable of CH340 series will be much more stable. The USB-to-serial cable of other chips is used on the STC microcontroller.
